Village Pizza - Orleans
About This Spot
Stepping into Village Pizza in Orleans, VT, feels like settling into a familiar corner of the neighborhood—a place where the hum of quiet conversations mingles with the inviting aroma of dough baking by hand. It’s not a hurried stop but a gentle pause, where the pace slows just enough to appreciate the warmth of friendly staff and the simple comfort of honest food.
This spot carries the charm of a classic local eatery, unpretentious and grounded in tradition. The air is often filled with the subtle promise of something good to come; whether you’re waiting inside or grabbing a pizza to take back to your cabin or campsite, Village Pizza has the relaxed vibe of a place that welcomes all kinds of visitors—from regulars craving the straightforward satisfaction of a pepperoni slice to travelers seeking a solid, hearty meal after a day outdoors.
The menu complements this atmosphere without fanfare. You won’t find elaborate twists, but rather a respectful devotion to classic flavors that feel thoughtfully crafted. The pizzas arrive with generous toppings and a cheese pull that invites sharing and smiling, balanced by a crust that evokes a rustic, homey feel rather than a polished restaurant finish. Beyond pizza, there’s an understated joy in the comfort of the hot subs and local favorites like their poutine, perfect for those who like familiar dishes served without fuss.
While Village Pizza welcomes everyone with an easygoing spirit, there’s a tangible sense that patience and presence are part of the experience here. Long waits on quieter nights suggest a place patiently doing its thing, valuing the craft over quick turnover—something appreciated by those who understand that good pizza takes time. Though the space inside keeps to the essentials and doesn’t accommodate four-legged friends, many find joy in savoring their meal just down the road, where the quiet beauty of Orleans waits.
Ultimately, Village Pizza offers a small, steady refuge for lovers of basic, honest pizza—a place where the food and the moments around it quietly remind you that sometimes, the simplest things bring the most comfort.

Really great Gluten Free Pizza at an actual reasonable price. Loved it. Friendly staff as well. Plan on a long wait even if it's a slow night. Also, charge of 3.99% for swipe although not legal.

One of the better pepperoni pizzas in the NEK — not because it's special, but because it sticks to the basics, and that’s appreciated. No frills, just solid, basic pizza.

The service was good. I love all pizza, and it was entirely adequate. Good amount of toppings, plenty of cheese. The crust could use a little work, but all in all, I enjoyed our visit. The poutine was also good.

Whenever we camp, we try to get pizza from a local pizzeria on our first night so we aren't rushing to get everything set up. I googled local pizza places and we chose this one out of the several noted on Google Maps. When I walked it, it smelled heavenly! We travel with dogs and would have liked to eat there but they don't allow dogs inside. We got everything to go and enjoyed dinner back at our RV. I must have been hungry when I ordered or the delicious aroma from the kitchen enticed me but I left with a Italian Sub, Large Pizza, Fries, and Cheesy Garlic Sticks for a family of 3. WE ATE EVERYTHING! It was DELICIOUS. I would highly recommend Village Pizza to anyone and everyone. If/when we pass through again, I would happily eat here. The staff was so friendly and and cheerful which helped pass the time while we waited for our food.

I absolutely love the BLT sub. It's on the menu under hot subs.

Being from New Jersey where we get awesome pizza we were hesitant to order but saw they had a Vermonter pizza listed. When in Vermont go with Vermonter pizza. This was the description: Garlic and oil base with spinach, bacon, and apples topped with maple syrup I have to say it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The combination really works. So much flavor. I have to go back for this pizza! Highly recommend it!
